What credentials do I need to log in?
You can log in with the email address you used to sign up for the app, and the password we emailed you.
Why am I prompted to turn on WiFi and GPS when I start the app?
The app uses your smartphone’s WiFi and GPS to identify your location in the case of an emergency.
What if I accidently press the Help Button?
If you accidentally press the app’s Help Button, a Response Associate will respond to your call and ask if you need help. Just tell them that it was pressed accidentally and that you do not need assistance. Don't be concerned that you are bothering Lifeline; we just want to be sure you’re all right.
What type of person makes a good responder?
Choose a responder who:
Has a key to your home or knows where one is located (such as in a key lockbox)
Can come help you at different times of the day or night
Lives or works within 10 minutes of where you live
Has a phone, and preferably a cell phone
Ideally has a driver’s license and access to a vehicle
